#8. Have a Game Night

Game night turned into game day when Myrlene and I brought down some old board games to play this morning. We started with a never ending game of Jenga, which I lost. Then we moved to Chutes and Ladders. I had the lead for a while, but then Myrlene started catching up and I landed on the big slide. Needless to say I lost again. Lastly we played The Game of Life! I feel the exclamation was needed there. Myrlene Was an accountant who made $100,00 every pay day. She married a nice m an and moved into a big house and again won the game. I however was a doctor who made $90,000 every pay day, married a woman, and lived in a log cabbin. It was a nice life I geuss.

#14. Watch the Sun Rise

Stephanie and I watched the sun come up this morning. It was sort of cloudy, so we more or less just watched it get lighter outside, but it was fun. The morning was pretty and it felt great!

#6. Stay Up All Night

While camping last night Stephanie and I stayed up all night. There came a point when we lost control and were laughing at a joke on the back of a fruitloops box. We also kept calling them skittles and cherrie'os. We counted bats that flew by, there was 20. I am exhausted.

#4. Go Camping in my Backyard

Myrlene, Stephanie, and I slept outside in a tent all night last night. It rained, and we stayed in the tent. Bugs attacked us, and we stayed in the tent. Myrlene and Stephanie thought something was outside trying to get us, and they stayed in the tent while I went to see what it was. It turned out to be nothing at all, so I mocked them. We talked all night and had a great time. We never fell asleep, but it was worth it.

#18. Host a Dinner Party

Last Night I hosted my dinner party. I originally got the idea from the movie Julie and Julia. I cooked baked spaghetti, french bread, and chocolate cake, with my mommy's help. We ate and talked and listened to a playlist composed of Corinne Bailey Rae, Nora Jones, Duffy, and a few others. When we finished eating, and had nothing else to do, we decided to watch a movie. Over all The night was very successful!

#11. Have a Water Gun Fight

Stephanie, Stephanie's sister, a kid that lives down the street, Tanner, and I had our water gun fight. We used water balloons, mini water guns, big water guns, the water hoes, and a bucket to demolish each other, and as if we were not soaked enough it rained. I went home drenched and happy.

Invitations

Today Stephanie and I went to our neighbor's driveways and wrote them invitations to our "epic water gun battle tomorrow." It worked out well in that they got the message, but it kinda failed. At Chris's house we forgot battle and ended up just writing "epic water gun" and I didn't have room to finish the word tomorrow so i tried to abbreviate it and wrote "at 1 tomro." Oops. Matondo's invite went a little better, but we felt odd when their gardener guy came out and read it. Our last invitation to Sean went well, but we forgot at 1 tomorrow and had to add it randomly to the bottom. Tomorrow is going to be fun!

#5. Sell Pancakes at a Roadside Stand

Abby and I set up around 9:30 A.M. In the Food Lion parking lot near the gas station. We were well prepared with plates, forks, napkins, 20 pancakes, random flowers, and a piggy bank set out on our improvised table made from a Styrofoam board and a baby gate. We sat out in redneck lawn chairs holding our neon pink sign because it wouldn't stay on our "table." Yelling as loud as we could to get people to come buy pancakes from us we acquired waves and smiles from passersby. After around 30 minuets of sitting out a lady drove up and told us about a book she had read that said never pass up a lemonade stand, so she gave us two dollars and left. Next a homeless man came by and asked for one of our flowers. We gave it to him and he bought 5 pancakes after asking us repeatedly if they were homemade. Then we sat, and sat, and sat. Finally we broke down and ate a pancake. They were pretty good. My mom came and bought one next, and finally Abby's grandma bought two. Those were all of our sales adding up to ten dollars, pretty good for an hour and a half. I will not ever open my own IHOP though. The breakfast business is not for me.

#1. Have a Whipcream Fight

After buying $11.06 worth of whip cream at the grocery store and looking very sketchy, Sean and I had a whip cream fight. It was fun and extremely messy. The weirdest thing about it was that it smelled terrible, and made my hair feel like straw! yuck! That aside though, it was very fun, and I recommend trying it with some friends!

#7. Run Through Random People's Yard Sprinklers

My mom sent me out tonight to get milk, and as I walked out of our drive way, I spotted a sprinkler going off in my neighbor's yard. I stared at it for a minuet before running over and jumping through it a couple times. Then of course I realized that their living room window was right there, and I looked ridiculous playing in their yard.
I made about 20 pancakes to try and sell tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Revisions

Unfortunately My plan to go zorbing failed because the only place to do it is in Tennessee. Who knew? I also decided to change Ziplinning as well because I've don't it before, and the girl who wanted to do it has decided she won't go on one. I'm sad that she decided to chicken out, but I have had great insperation from my friend Sydney and from watching Julie and Julia. Now, instead of zorbbing, we will be doing improv, and instead of ziplinning we will be having a dinner party. I'm excited, and with only 10 days left I'm working hard to finish everything!

#10. Draw With chalk in a Parkinglot

While Sophie was in the doctor's office today, Sean and I took over some parking spots and drew with chalk on them. Crossing off nimber 10 was easy; now to get to the harder things. I've made some plans and should be able to cross another off soon. As for the lack of posts, I have been bussy and have forgoten to post my normal "nothing happened today" blogs. Sorry. 13 days left, 12 things to go. Crap.

#15. Jello Wrestle in a Kiddie Pool

The jello didn't set, so we wrestled in a koolaid-like liquid. There was some rough play, mainly on my part, but for the most part we all had a great time!

#3. Hold a "Honk If You..." Sign on the Side of the Road

Matondo and I went to buy jello today at our local food lion, and we walked through the empty back lot, home we noticed a pile of cardboard boxes. I looked at the boxes for a moment and something popped into my head, signs. I instructed Matondo to grab a few boxes and help me carry them home. We then began our walk again boxes and bag full of jello in hand when we ran into Sean. He was slightly suspicious of our boxes and slightly worn out from his run, so he pressed on ignoring our plether of stolen boxes.
Once we arrived home, we cut the boxes and wrote in big bold letters "HONK IF YOU LOVE JESUS." We went back to the corner of the street collecting two honks on our way to which our responses were "AHHHH;" however by the third honk we were accustomed to the loud noise being directed at us and hence did not scream. By honk twenty-one we were back to back in the median collecting honks from passing cars. We began to notice something. The people honking were mostly white women age 30-65 and Hispanic men. One particular Hispanic man leaned out his car window and yelled "Yea I love Jesus!!!"
Aside from the positive honks and waves we received some slightly scary responses from passersby. One car of kids around our age decided it would be fun to mock us and ask our names, and one Hispanic man blew a kiss at me, yuck! Fortunately it only took us about half an hour to get 100 honks. Thank God for rush hour traffic!
Six things done, twenty days to go. Tomorrow: jello wrestling!

Thank You List!

I feel cool. Wearing my boyfriends hat, talking to my best friend about her stalker neighbor, and listening to random music off my ipod. This is pretty much all I would've done this summer without the list. Thank you list! I'm glad I can do something besides discuss who is a creeper and play with an inatamit object.

#12. Play on a slip'n'slide using paint instead of water

After walking for a little while, Myrlene, Sean, and I arrived in an empty field. I unraveled the old slip'n'slide, and we began setting up. First we poured water on it, then paint in an asortment of colors. When it was all set up I tryed it out. It worked alright. Sean tried next falling hard on the ground. Then it was Myrlene's turn; she refused to go. I tried to "surf" down it, but ended up slipping and falling. It was overall successfull. I had paint all down my legs and on my tummy that had sunk through my shirt. Sean had lots of paint on him too. We attempted to get some on Myrlene, but she ran. Next time I'd advise more paint.

#17. Have a Sumo fight

Myrlene and I wrapped ourselves in pillows and woddeled into my living room. Then we began our fight. We shoved eachother around a bit, but in the end I was victorious! Below is a video of the fight, and since I have that, I am cutting this post short, but if you watch the video you'll know what happend.

#9. Play Capture the Flag in the Walmart

Game Objective: Each team hides their "flag," and the other team tries to find it. The team who finds the "flag" first must run back to the starting point and call the other team to come meet them. Each team gets hints if needed, and neither team is allowed to spy on the other while they are hiding their flag.

The Flags were imposable to see even though they were ridiculously bright orange. The store had a million hidding places. We searched high and low and in the end both teams won once. Other than one extreamly rude lady no one said anything to us. We had to look very odd though, searching through isles and franticly running from one end of the store to the other. It was a very fun day!

#19. Play Dress Up In Public

Today Matondo and I desided to cross off # 19 on the list: play dress up in public. We started at my house finding odd things to wear, the best of which was butterfly wings. We struted through the rain to the shopping center near the house, waving at passers by. When we arrived at the food lion we entered excitedly awaiting the odd expressions; However our reseption was quite the opposite. people complamented our outfits and smiled at us at every turn. What is wrong with society that two girls can dress as compleat fools and people think they look amazing? I blame resant fashion. We left the grocery store and fluttered all the way down the shopping strip to ace hardware. Once inside the employees fallowed us around as if we planned to steal somthing. A better reaction, but a false one. We snuck out the back way and fluttered our "wings" back down the strip, almost running into the mail man. We may not have gotten the reaction we had expected, but we did give people a story to tell. I can see the little old lady we saw in the food lion going home and telling her husband, "Harold you will never believe what I saw today!" That's all that really matters, making people's day.

Kepping It Up

At least one thing got crossed off. I'll keep working, but with only one thing done I'm slightly loosing hope. I know I can do it though!!

#2. Have A Shopping Cart Race.

Alex and I walked into food lion calmly, pretending to be casual shopers. We got free cookies and scoped out the store. Then, after walking outside to the buggy return, we got buggys and entered the store. Lining up in an empty isle, we said "GO" and took off running through the store. Around donut displayes and past old ladies we raced through the store. I passed Alex up and crossed the finish line, celebrating by hitting my foot on a wheele and jumping in pain. All the people looked around confusedly as we exited laughing as we went. And so, #2 on the list is crossed off!! 19 things to do. 30 days to go.

Another Day Gone

With the kayos of today nothing got done. I am trying to get something planned for tomorrow but am still struggling to find cooperative people. I'm beginning to think I need new friends...

Wasted Day

Day two and nothing is crossed off the list yet. I tryed to round some people up to do something, but no one wanted to. In fact everyone had a reson why they couldn't. Oh well, one day wasted. no big deal. Tomarow should be better. I don't have anything else to say about today, but I do have a question: Does anyone know how many pakets of instant jello I would need to fill a kiddie pool?

The List

There are 35 days left of summer. Every day goes by quickly, sinking into the past. Memorable things have happend, but none seem suficiant enough to make this summer one to remember. I want to do things that will become imortal in the minds of everyone who witnesses them. I want to create storys my grandchildren will want me to tell. I want to have the best 35 days anyone could ever have. This is why over the next 5 weeks I will be compleating a to do list created by me and a few friends of things that we have always wanted to do. Some may seem rediculous, but we will do each task with smiles on our faces. I will be posting blogs of the events as well as pictures on this site. I will also discuss the events live on my twitter page. http://twitter.com/zoeblast Follow me as I compleat all my timeless tasks! Also leave me comments on my efforts. Every opinion is apreciated.
