#3. Hold a "Honk If You..." Sign on the Side of the Road

Matondo and I went to buy jello today at our local food lion, and we walked through the empty back lot, home we noticed a pile of cardboard boxes. I looked at the boxes for a moment and something popped into my head, signs. I instructed Matondo to grab a few boxes and help me carry them home. We then began our walk again boxes and bag full of jello in hand when we ran into Sean. He was slightly suspicious of our boxes and slightly worn out from his run, so he pressed on ignoring our plether of stolen boxes.
Once we arrived home, we cut the boxes and wrote in big bold letters "HONK IF YOU LOVE JESUS." We went back to the corner of the street collecting two honks on our way to which our responses were "AHHHH;" however by the third honk we were accustomed to the loud noise being directed at us and hence did not scream. By honk twenty-one we were back to back in the median collecting honks from passing cars. We began to notice something. The people honking were mostly white women age 30-65 and Hispanic men. One particular Hispanic man leaned out his car window and yelled "Yea I love Jesus!!!"
Aside from the positive honks and waves we received some slightly scary responses from passersby. One car of kids around our age decided it would be fun to mock us and ask our names, and one Hispanic man blew a kiss at me, yuck! Fortunately it only took us about half an hour to get 100 honks. Thank God for rush hour traffic!
Six things done, twenty days to go. Tomorrow: jello wrestling!
